Hi from Mount Gambier

January 26, 2008

Hi from Mount Gambier to all the lovely families from LA2 in 2007.

Vist the 2009 class blog –

The Blue Lake, Mount Gambier, South Australia This is a map showing the location of Mount Gambier.

I have now settled into my new house, in this lovely town. Did you know that Mount Gambier is very close to the Victorian border? You can see on the map just how close it is! It only takes about 30 minutes to drive over the border into Victoria.

My house is not far from the Blue Lake that you can see in the picture above too. It is lovely to walk around the lake in the afternoon. Walking around the lake is a popular activity in Mount Gambier.

My thoughts are going out to you all to have a great start to the new school year. I know you will all remember to do your best this year and reach for the starts with your learning!
Keep enjoying online communities just like our blog, and remember to keep safe online and offline.

Hello. We miss you up here. We are glad you have settled in to your new home and town. It is very nice down there. Our big sister is at High School now. We have started reading books for the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Sports Day is going to be in term 4 now because the oval is very dry. We wish you a Happy Easter and hope Easter Bunny comes to you. From MH and HH.

    Hi MM
So happy to hear that you have settled in well. DR misses you and at the beginning of the year wasn’t enjoying school very much as being in year 2 isn’t as much fun as last year.
However he is settling in now and isn’t complaining any more.
I will let him know that the blog is up and running so he can leave a comment for you.
    Enjoy Mt Gambier

I hope you are having a good time at your new school in Mount Gambier. Hope you are having lots of fun teaching children. We have done lots of maths and art and we are entering a competition with our drawings at the Royal Adelaide Show. Missing you and the computers. Hope to see you this year. RC

PS We are off on another holiday. This time Naracoorte, The Grampians and Melbourne.

    Hi RC and C Clan,
It sounds like you have had a great start to the year!
Are you taking the caravan on your holiday? I remember looking out the window of LA2 and seeing it waiting there, ready for one of your families super holidays!
Sounds like you have another great tirp planned. The Grampians are supposed to be amazing, and I know the Naracoorte caves are great. The bat cave tour is in afternoon, and is a great tour to take. Little bats all over the top of the cave!
If you pass through Mount Gambier on the way or way back let me know and we can catch up.
Have a great last week before the holidays!
